Job Schedule: Full time

Weekly Hours: 36.00

Salary Range: $24.00 - $36.00

Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles, practices within the full scope of nursing expertise, and utilizes appropriate standards related to the physical and psychosocial needs of the resident as per care plan. Performs testing, recognizes problems, recommends solutions, and responds effectively in emergent situations.

Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Contributes to assessments, administers medications or treatments, provides technical support, documents interactions, and maintains confidentiality. Works effectively with a multidisciplinary team, communicates clearly, and counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program; associate degree preferred. For North Dakota, IV therapy/management skills require graduation from a Board-approved AASPN program or completion of an approved IV course. Must hold an unencumbered LPN license with the State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges. Meets annual CEU and competency requirements.
