Lawrence Presbyterian Manor, part of PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®), is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver direct nursing care and supervise aides in a not-for-profit, faith-based senior living community in Lawrence, KS. The role emphasizes resident-centered care and adherence to regulations to ensure quality life for residents.

Starting at $28.00 per hour with a weekend differential under our Premium Pay Plan, we offer a benefits package and opportunities for growth

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN program.
• Must possess a current license to practice as an LPN in this state.
• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws and regulations governing long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents.
• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants.
• Ensure care is in compliance with federal, state, and local standards and PMMA policies.

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct nursing care to residents, and supervising the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants. Such supervision must be in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations governing the Community and as may be required by the department director or supervisor to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained. Reflects the value that the resident comes first. This employee values the Community as the residents’ home and works to create attributes of home and models person centered care

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE And/or TRAINING

• Must be a graduate of an approved LPN Program


• Must possess a current license to practice as an LPN in this state


• Knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care


• Previous geriatric nursing/long-term care experience is a plus


• I.V. Certification is a plus
