Job summary

Journey is seeking a registered nurse to join The Reserve at Appling, a long-term care community. You will supervise licensed practical nurses and CNAs, ensure compliance with regulations, and participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers.

The role emphasizes holistic resident care and collaboration with the care team. Ideal candidates hold an RN license, a nursing degree, CPR certification, and have or are willing to obtain experience in long-term care.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
• A Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations and guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Follows the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
• Ensures policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participates in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Assesses changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to medical record and carries out orders as written.
