Job summary

The Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess referred patients, plan and implement treatment programs, and collaborate with the care team to achieve optimal rehabilitation outcomes. The role requires directing therapy under physician oversight and documenting patient progress.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited OT program and hold a valid state license, with supervision of OT assistants and experience in long-term or geriatric care

Qualifications

• Must have graduated from an accredited OT program.
• Must hold a valid OT license for the state of practice.
• Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and geriatric care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients to determine rehabilitation needs and capacities.
• Develop and administer treatment programs with goals aligned to patient tolerance and physician direction.
• Set realistic, achievable patient goals and document progress.
• Educate patients and families on therapy methods and progress.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to provide patient-centered care and ensure quality outcomes.

Occupational Therapist

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healingislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Shift Needs: Full Time and PRN
