Job summary

The Bethany Center For Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to join our care team. The OT will assess patients, design and implement treatment plans, and work with families to educate on therapy plans.

The role requires supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants, documenting patient progress, and collaborating with other disciplines to ensure the highest level of care in a long-term care setting.

Qualifications

• Requires graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
• Must hold a valid OT license and state registration.
• Experience supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants preferred.
• Experience in long-term or geriatric care is an asset.
• Ability to document clearly and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Assess referred patients to determine rehabilitation needs and determine rehab potential.
• Develop and administer individualized treatment programs with goals aligned to patient capacity.
• Educate patients and families on therapy methods and progress.
• Document patient status, progress notes, re-certifications and discharges.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered care and maintain confidentiality.

Occupational Therapist

The Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healingislooking for a talented and hard-working Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team.

Responsibilities Include:

The Occupational Therapist is responsible for the assessment of referred patients that require rehabilitation services which includes: providing direct patient care to assess their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations and restrictions and potential for rehabilitation. Also, the Occupational Therapist will establish and administer a treatment program with specific goals determined according to the patients capacity and tolerance under the direction of the Physician. As well, the Occupational Therapist must set realistic and achievable goals for their patients, document and record the patients condition and educate patients and families in an appropriate therapy method.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapist college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for state of practice.
• The Occupational Therapist is responsible for overseeing and supervising Occupational Therapy Assistants.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not limited to.
• Well versed with documentation writing
• Evaluations, weekly progress notes, re-certification and discharge documentations.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to provide best patient centered treatment and care.
• Exceptional patient service skills and ability to demonstrate clinical excellence
• Report to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by Director of Rehabilitation
• Compliance with confidentiality, HIPPA and Federal Residents Rights.

Shift Needs: Full Time and PRN
