Job summary

Quality Center for Rehabilitation and Healing is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our patient-centered care team in Gallatin, Tennessee. You will deliver nursing care per standards, administer medications after orientation, supervise nursing assistants, document accurately, respond to resident needs, and maintain a clean, safe unit.

A $1,500 sign-on bonus is offered, with comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (LPN).
• Must be licensed as LPN in the state of work or hold temporary license.
• Ability to follow detailed written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per standards and policies.
• Direct and assist nursing assistants on unit.
• Administer medications after orientation and instruction.
• Maintain accurate medication records and monitor residents for adverse drug reactions.
• Keep unit clean, safe, and organized; respond to call lights.

Job Description

Provides nursing care in accordance with standards established by nursing service and administrative policies; directs, provides assistance, observes and monitors nursing assistants on his/her unit; administers medications after appropriate orientation and instruction; maintains accurate medication records and observes residents for signs and symptoms of adverse drug reactions; maintains a clean, safe and organized unit; answer call lights as required; other related duties and responsibilities as may be assigned within the scope of his/her education.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse by the state he/she is working in or have a temporary license; working knowledge of nursing techniques; ability to apply therapeutic treatments as prescribed; ability to understand and carry out exact, detailed oral and written instruction; ability to keep records and make reports.
