Job summary

State of Oklahoma is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Claremore Veterans Home. This part-time, temporary day shift position entails performing technical nursing care under supervision and administering medications as ordered.

The successful candidate will have an Oklahoma LPN license and at least two years of practical nursing experience. Knowledge of nursing procedures, infection control, and patient documentation is essential.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma LPN license plus two years of practical nursing experience.
• CADC certification or progress toward CADC required for some units (as noted).
• Ability to work with supervision and deliver patient nursing care in various settings, including clinics and institutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing procedures and direct/indirect care under supervision.
• Assist in assessing and recording health status and respond to interventions.
• Administer medications as ordered and monitor patient responses.
• Serve as charge nurse on a unit and supervise staff in medication administration and patient care.
