650 DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS is seeking a PRN Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) III for day shifts in Claremore Veterans Home. The position is part-time and temporary, with a compensation of $45.00 per hour and a shift differential of $0.87 per hour for 3pm–7am.

Qualifications

• Requires valid permanent Oklahoma LPN license plus two years of experience.
• eNLC licensure plus two years of experience is also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing procedures or specialized functions per licensure and training.
• Assists in evaluating responses to interventions and plans of care.
• Teaches basic nursing skills and related principles and delegates tasks such as vital signs, enemas, and specimen collection.
• Assists in assessing health status of patients and documenting findings.
• Participates in developing and implementing aspects of a care plan.
• Administers medications as ordered and communicates patient information to the health team.
• Serves as Charge Nurse on a unit supervising medication administration and patient care.
