Job summary

Majestic Care of Middletown, Ohio is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care on an assigned unit under the direction of the nursing management team. You will supervise CNAs to ensure high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities include initiating and leading individualized care plans, assessing and documenting residents’ conditions, administering medications, starting IVs, and ensuring compliance with state rules.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an LPN in the state employed; license must be active, valid, and in good standing.
• CPR certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Initiate and lead team conferences in development of individualized nursing care plans.
• Assess and document the residents' condition and nursing needs.
• Accurately and promptly implement physicians’ orders.
• Administer medications, start IVs, and perform treatments for assigned residents and document that treatment as required by Majestic Care and local, state, and federal rules and regulations.
• Participate in orientation and in-service training for personnel.
• Assist physicians with special tests and procedures within the scope of state specified Nursing Practice Act.
• Report and record pertinent observations and reactions regarding residents.
• Coordinate nursing care of residents when scheduled for therapy or procedures by other departments.
• Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden adverse developments in residents.
