Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide direct patient care including IV therapy within the framework of the LPN Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will support nursing staff, coordinate with the multidisciplinary team, and deliver high-quality patient care.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, an active LPN license in the state of practice and BLS certification. IV therapy credentials are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current LPN license in state of practice is required.
• BLS Certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• IV therapy credentials are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to deliver patient care through data gathering, planning and evaluation.
• Provides care based on physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to patients' ages.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families and coworkers to ensure quality patient experience.
