Overview

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with IV certification to join our healthcare team at our long-term care facility. Qualifications

• Valid LPN license with IV certification in the state of Kansas
• Experience in long-term care or geriatrics preferred but not required
• Strong clinical and communication skills
• Compassionate and patient-focused care approach
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Proven experience in a leadership role such as Charge Nurse is a plus
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks)

Duties

• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, policies, and procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical record systems
• Assist with emergency situations, including ventilating patients and providing basic life support
• Administer injections and medications as prescribed by physicians
• Provide primary care services to patients of all ages, including children and elderly individuals
• Specialize in dementia care, providing support and assistance to patients with memory impairments
• Assist with tube feeding for patients who require nutritional support

Skills

• Valid nursing license in Kansas with IV certification
• Proven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership role
• Knowledge of healthcare standards and regulations
• Experience working with elderly individuals
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
• Experience administering injections, medications, and IV therapy
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
