Job summary

Sanford Health in Bismarck, ND is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our ambulatory Internal Medicine clinic. This full-time role involves providing quality, holistic care under RN or physician supervision, with a 40-hour work week and day shift.

The position requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program and an active LPN license (ND or multi-state). A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered along with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• North Dakota IV therapy/management requires graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient
• Contributes to the assessment of patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals
• Counseling patients and family, under the direction of a registered nurse, on prevention and treatment plans

Department Details

Our Internal Medicine team provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for adults, focusing on the prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions. As a Nurse in our clinic, you will play a key role in supporting providers and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Daily tasks include coordinating care across specialty and primary care teams and maintaining accurate documentation and follow clinical protocols and quality standards.
