Job summary

St. Francis Nursing Center in Colorado Springs is seeking an LPN II to support the nursing process under the guidance of the Registered Nurse, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of patients are met and care plans promote optimal health.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/ GED required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse required.
• Basic Life Support (American Heart) required.
• IV Therapy; State IV Certification upon hire or within three (3) months of hire/transfer) required.

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate observation & data collection.
• Uses critical thinking to implement the plan of care.
• Differentiates priority of risk & urgency.
• Appropriate communication of patient findings to the RN.
• Performs IV therapy or venous blood draws.
• Continuously evaluates and assists team in revisions of the plan of care.
