Job summary

Orange Grove Center in Tennessee seeks a licensed practical nurse to provide nursing services to assigned clients and support direct care staff. The role includes documenting, monitoring vital signs, and implementing physician orders in collaboration with care teams.

The ideal candidate will have an LPN license, and experience with developmental disabilities is preferred. Valid driver’s license and background checks are required, with driving history acceptable within policy guidelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved LPN Nursing Program.
• Minimum one year of relevant LPN clinical experience preferred.
• Experience working with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and Social Security Card required.
• Acceptable 3-year motor vehicle report; F endorsement on Driver's License within 30 days post hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services for assigned individuals and support to direct care staff.
• Communicate individuals' physician and nursing care plans to staff and assist in implementation of all MD/NP orders.
• Assist in examination and treatment by interviewing the individual and obtaining medical history to determine extent of injury/illness.
• Monitor required documentation and complete all required documents timely.
• Transcribe information onto individuals' chart records and take vital signs.
• Perform glucose monitoring and other tests as required by physician.
• Respond to individuals in acute distress and complete all required documents timely.
• Other duties as assigned.
