Job summary

Orange Grove Center in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to provide nursing services for assigned individuals and to support the direct care staff. The role includes monitoring health needs and assisting with MD/NP orders per the State Nurse Practice Act.

Applicants should have graduated from an approved LPN program, with at least one year of LPN experience preferred. A valid driver's license and documentation duties are also required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services for assigned individuals and support to direct care staff.
• Communicate individuals physician and nursing care plans to staff and assist in implementation of all MD/NP orders.
• Assist in examination and treatment by interviewing individual and others to obtain medical information/history.
• Monitor required documentation and complete all required documents timely.
• Transcribe information onto individuals chart records.
• Take vital signs and glucose monitoring as required by physician.
• Respond to individuals in acute distress.
• Complete all required documents timely.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Organized and implements nursing interventions, aids in equipping individuals with domestic and self-help skills in order to foster greater independence and ensures the health and wellness of assigned clients.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services for assigned individuals and support to direct care staff
• Will communicate individuals physician and nursing care plans to staff and assist in implementation of all MD/NP orders according to the State of TN Nurse Practice Act
• Will assist the attending physician/NP/RN in the examination and treatment of the individuals by interviewing the individual and others as necessary to obtain medical information/history to help determine extent of injury/illness
• Must monitor required documentation and complete all required documents within a timely manner
• Transcribe information onto individuals chart records
• Take vital signs and performs other tests such as glucose monitoring as required by physician
• Respond to individuals in acute distress
• Complete all required documents within a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
