Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a patient in the home in the Scranton, PA area. This role offers meaningful, patient-centered care and the chance to build lasting relationships with the patient and family.

The LPN will perform orders, monitor health, administer meds, and educate families, with competitive pay and flexible scheduling designed to support in-home care excellence.

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania LPN license
• CPR certification on hire
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently in home care environment
• Experience in private duty/home health or pediatric nursing is a plus, not required

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care per physician orders and plan of care

Maxim Healthcare Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide one-on-one skilled nursing care for a patient in their home in the Scranton, PA area. This rewarding position offers the opportunity to deliver individualized care in a comfortable home setting while building strong relationships with your patient and their family.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in accordance with the physician's orders and plan of care
• Monitor and assess patient health status
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as prescribed
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
• Measure and document vital signs and patient progress
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the clinical team
• Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Educate patients and family members regarding care and health management
• Ensure patient safety and infection control standards are maintained
• Collaborate with physicians, caregivers, and the healthcare team to provide quality care

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently in a home care environment
• Previous private duty, home health, or pediatric nursing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to meet all Maxim Healthcare onboarding and compliance requirements
