Job summary

Genesis is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide decisive patient care in our long-term care setting in Berks County, Hamburg, PA. You will evaluate residents, assist with care planning, and administer medications under physician orders, while supervising unlicensed staff.

The ideal candidate holds an approved LPN program diploma, current state licensure or active pending licensure, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
• Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or have pending licensure.
• BLS/CPR certification required where state practice dictates.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients/residents to collect data, observe condition and report changes in condition.
• Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
• Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff.
