Job summary

Liberty Health in Benson, North Carolina, seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Liberty Commons of Johnston County to join our nursing team.

Responsibilities include directing nursing services under RN supervision, delegating tasks, monitoring patient status, and communicating with physicians during emergencies. A valid NC LPN license and CPR certification are required, with willingness to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school graduate.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
• CPR certified yearly.
• Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.

Responsibilities

• Assists in direction of nursing services for unit/hall, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Delegates duties to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel and monitors work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Observes patients for symptoms and/or reactions for signs of adverse change.
• Assists with notifying attending physician of emergencies and death of patients in the unit and implements changes in orders as instructed by physicians.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
