Job summary
Hutchinson Health and Rehab in Hutchinson, Kansas is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our care team. The LPN will provide total resident care, administer medications, and supervise nursing assistants while maintaining strict confidentiality.
The role requires KS LPN licensure and CPR certification, with a focus on elderly, medical, surgical or geriatric nursing experience being preferred.
Qualifications
- LPN licensure with the KS Board of Nursing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPPA regulations.
- Desire to work with the elderly.
- Experience in medical, surgical, or geriatric nursing is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide total care for residents, including monitoring their condition and needs, administering medications and treatments, and overseeing the nursing assistant-registered (NAR) staff.
- Complete documentation, admit, and discharge residents.
- Report any bruises, skin tears, or neglect found while caring for residents.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service and build relationships with residents, their families, visitors, and colleagues.
