Job summary

Recovery Centers of America is hiring an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to support patient care in our addiction treatment facilities. Positions available as full-time or part-time with day (7a–7:30p) or night (7p–7:30a) shifts, and every other weekend required.

Comprehensive duties include assessment, medication administration, and patient documentation. We seek a licensed nurse with at least one year in substance use or behavioral health settings and strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Active State Practical Nursing license required.
• One year of experience in a substance abuse treatment or behavioral hospital preferred.
• Knowledge of health care, detoxification, addiction and DSM criteria.
• Ability to read and interpret information; write clearly and informatively.
• Strong communication, teamwork and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiological and behavioral health status of the patient.
• Complete initial assessment and develop the plan of care.
• Document vital signs and pain, ensure proper pain management.
• Communicate patient psychosocial status and coordinate with treatment team.
• Administer medications according to policy and verify MAR timing.
• Maintain records of treatments, immunizations, and labs.
• Monitor for changes related to medications and respond appropriately.
