Job summary

AHRC New York City is hiring two Part-Time Licensed Practical Nurses for our ICF residence in Manhattan. You will monitor health needs, supervise staff, and administer medications to support residents with disabilities in a community setting.

The role requires NYS LPN licensure and CPR certification, with strong communication and teamwork skills. Experience with IDD is preferred; flexible schedules offered, with 24 hours per week or 2x36-hour options.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN in New York State required.
• Very good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work as part of a team.
• Experience with or willingness to work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and participate with direct support staff in personal hygiene, Activities of Daily Living and nutritional care.
• Perform medication administration as per procedure outline.
• Monitor infection control practices and ensure safety per guidelines.
• Document medical findings and report to RN supervisor and nursing plan.
• Communicate with families and medical providers regarding patient concerns.
• Attend medical appointments as scheduling permits and provide coverage per staffing.
