Qualifications

• Currently licensed as an LPN in Colorado
• Prior experience in a nursing community

• Possess a valid BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Assist routine daily direction and monitor the work of the nursing assistants on the unit, assuring high standards of care
• Follow procedures for narcotic counting, pharmacy orders, and restraint reduction
• Communicate with Nurse Manager or Director of Nursing regarding observations and concerns
• Document changes in patient conditions including nutrition, infections, and weight changes
• Participate in shift change reports to ensure proper resident information
• Document and notify departments of room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges
• Assist in admission, orientation, and observation of new residents and communicate orders to appropriate parties
