Qualifications

• Has completed the prescribed curricula of a practical nursing program or equivalent coursework and licensed.
• 0–6 months related experience.
• Knowledge of disease state management processes and clinical pathways.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize, prioritize work and be detail oriented; IV therapy as per hospital policy.

Responsibilities

• Administers nursing care to an assigned patient group based on physician orders and Nursing Care Plan.
• Gathers data, implements and evaluates care; documents nursing process clearly and accurately.
• Consults with Registered Nurse to plan patient care and discharge planning.
• Performs nursing skills appropriate for patient population and age; follows care standards and unit requirements.
• Follows plan of care, participates in PI activities, and attends mandatory in-services.
