Job summary

Albany Med Health System's Otolaryngology department in Albany, NY is seeking a full-time LPN for the ENT Surgery Office. You will provide direct patient care and assist in-office procedures under supervision of a physician or lead RN.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting patient history, venipuncture for labs, and supporting the care team with chart prep and supply management. NYS LPN license and a high school diploma are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. is required.
• LPN NYS license is required.
• Previous experience in a patient care setting is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Salary Range: $54,690.00 - $82,035.00

LPN - Full Time ENT Surgery Office Albany, NY

Under the direction of the attending physician, RN, Lead LPN or practice coordinator, the LPN will provide direct patient care and assist in the following clinical functions to all providers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Obtains and accurately record patient’s vital signs
• Documents components of patient’s history
• Communicates in an open and appropriate manner with patients, visitors and staff
• Participates in in-office procedures under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare provider
• Performs diagnostic CLIA waived testing
• Performs venipuncture to obtain blood for lab testing
• Prescription call-backs per scope of practice
• Preps patient’s chart for pertinent clinical information
• Maintains inventory of supplies, and keeps patient examination rooms stocked
• Adheres to AMC’s regulatory compliance issues
• Floating to other clinic sites for proper coverage

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/G.E.D. is required
• LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse NYS license required
• Previous experience in a patient care setting is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, patients and their family members or other employees within the work setting.
