AdventHealth Shawnee Mission in Kansas is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to administer treatments and medications and coordinate care with the RN and healthcare team. You will collect patient data, document progress, and educate patients and families as part of a holistic care approach.

Administers ordered treatments and medications safely and competently within the scope of practice. Reviews and implements patient care plans in collaboration with the RN, patient, family, and healthcare team. Collects comprehensive patient data under the direct supervision of the RN, including physical, psychosocial, environmental, and developmental information. Performs and documents data collection on admission and during each shift for all assigned patients within the designated time frame. Monitors patient status throughout the shift, reporting pertinent information and significant findings to the healthcare team. Communicates the plan of care to other healthcare team members verbally throughout the shift and during shift report. Delegates tasks appropriately to unlicensed personnel, ensuring they have demonstrated competence. Transcribes and implements physician orders within the scope of practice. Provides patient education based on identified needs. Maintains current licensures and certifications, completing competency testing and skills validation. Participates in unit quality improvement activities and provides input on policy/procedure changes. Assists with Quality Indicators, including Core Measures, and accurately complete nursing documentation. Other duties as assigned.
Technical/Vocational School [Required] Field of Study: Allied health program (CVT,US, Respiratory, RN, Radiology, Nuc Med, etc.) or equivalent certification
