Job summary

Southeast Health is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse for the Medical/Surgical Unit in Alabama. You will perform nursing care activities, participate in assessments, and contribute to care planning and delivery for adult and geriatric patients.

Must hold a current Alabama LPN license, have hospital experience (float pool if applicable), and complete required certifications. Day shift 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Alabama.
• Two years of hospital LPN experience (for float pool LPNs only).
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
• Institutional basic EKG course (interpretation of life-threatening dysrhythmias)
• Annual completion of unit-specific competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care activities for Medical/Surgical patients.
• Contribute to nursing assessment and care planning.
• Participate in planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
• Follow hospital policies and Alabama Board of Nursing rules.
• Care for adult and geriatric Medical/Surgical patients.
