Job summary

FlexStaff is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse to perform various aspects of patient care within an assigned unit under direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care with the Primary Nurse and Nursing Care Coordinator, and administering medications as directed.

The role requires a practical nursing license in NY or CT, strong communication, and the ability to work closely with patients and hospital staff to ensure safe, effective care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Licensed to practice as a Practical Nurse in New York State and/or Connecticut.
• Ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Administers general nursing care to ambulatory patients under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Plans and coordinates patient care with the Primary Nurse and Nursing Care Coordinator.
• Follows the nursing process guidance under supervision.
• Reports and records results of nursing care to Primary Nurse and Nursing Care Coordinator.
• Administers medications (oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular) as directed.
• Establishes good interpersonal relations with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
