Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the applicable state.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required within 6 months.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care according to established policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Assists with assessment by collecting data and reporting changes to the RN.
• Assists with developing and implementing the plan of care as directed by the RN.
• Supports and reinforces patient teaching per the plan of care.
• Documents performance of nursing interventions and patient responses to the RN.
• Communicates changes in medical orders to the RN.
• Performs clinical tasks such as medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, venipuncture, etc.
• Manages patient positioning and transporting with proper technique.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific care requirements and growth and development principles.
