Job summary

National Children's Center, Inc. seeks an LPN to work under an RN in the Community Support Services Program, ensuring safe, accurate medication administration and meticulous documentation.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, critical thinking, and empathetic care, with travel to multiple sites across Washington, DC, MD, and Montgomery/Prince George’s counties, plus mileage reimbursement. Schedule includes Monday-Friday with two shifts (9am-5pm or 12pm-8pm) and one weekend per month; salary

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
• Diploma/certificate from a two-year nursing program.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• COVID-19 vaccination required before start.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications to multiple sites and day programs.
• Performs nursing assessments for people supported as needed.
• Monitors patients’ health during home visits.
• Update MARs with physician orders and co-signments.
• Review monthly MARs and schedule/prepare clinic visits.
• Provide nursing coverage for the day program as needed.
