Job summary

McLeod Health Cheraw is seeking a dedicated LPN to support registered nurses in patient assessment and care delivery. You will perform data gathering, provide individualized nursing care, and follow the plan of care while adhering to safety standards.

Regular hourly rounds and proactive problem solving are part of the role. Join a multi-hospital system with a long history of service; the position is full-time, 7:00am–7:00pm, on-site in Cheraw, SC, with every-other-weekend shifts and a strong

Must possess a valid SC LPN license.
BLS required on hire.

Responsibilities

Assists the Registered Nurse in data gathering for the use in patient assessment.
Provides individualized nursing care in collaboration with the Registered Nurse to meet the holistic age specific need of patients.
Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice and incorporating the Physician's prescribed medical plans of care.
Using Service Excellence Standards conducts Hourly Rounds.
Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors.
Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
Utilizes standard work in caring for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints and patients at risk for falls.
Participates proactively in problem solving initiatives.
