Job summary

Lovelace Health System in Albuquerque, NM, is seeking a day shift, part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the Medical Surgical 2nd Floor. You will provide direct patient care under RN/Physician supervision and contribute to high-quality, safe nursing practice.

Requirements include graduation from a practical nursing program, a valid NM license (or compact license within 90 days), and BLS certification within 14 days of hire. One year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a practical nursing program.
• Valid NM nursing License or valid multi-state compact license (within 90 days of hire).
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• The LPN under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Physician, provides direct, safe, appropriate, and effective nursing care to designated patients in accordance with patient needs, current standards of nursing practice, and organizational policies within the scope of LPN Licensure and hospital policy.
• Performs general nursing tasks.
• Adheres to policies and procedures and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.
