Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of practical nursing program approved by NYS Education Department.
• Current LPN license and registration at time of appointment.
• BLS certification maintained throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain equipment and administer medications as prescribed.
• Perform treatments, document vital signs and patient weights.
• Provide patient and family health teaching per care plan.
• Observe patient status and promptly inform supervising nurse.
• Assist with transport and any tasks of a Hospital/Institutional Aide.
• Participate in in-service education.
