Job summary

Raleigh General Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring an LPN for in-person support in Beckley, WV. You would contribute under RN direction, assist with data collection, wound care, and medication administration to support patient care.

The role emphasizes daily living assistance, documentation, and collaboration with clinicians to plan and adjust care, ensuring compassionate, safe patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an approved practical nursing program.
• License: Current LPN/PN to practice in the Commonwealth of VA and in good standing.
• Certifications: BCLS within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• Minimum Work Experience: Relevant nursing experience may be required.
• Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT codes, insurance benefits and healthcare backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of an RN, contributes to patient assessment by collecting data for RN analysis.
• Performs plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
• May administer medication.
• Documents patient care provided.
• Assists RN with development of plan of care.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Monitors and communicates patient status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient and families.
• Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.
• Schedules, appointments and procedures as ordered by the provider.
• Obtains insurance re-authorizations for testing and scheduled procedures.

Education

Graduate of an approved practical nursing program

Current LPN/PN license to practice in VA
