Job summary

Kirkwood Wellness & Rehabilitation is hiring a Day Shift LPN for full-time, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus and a supportive care team in a post-acute setting.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will deliver compassionate nursing care, administer medications, and collaborate with RNs, CNAs, and physicians to promote resident comfort, safety, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri LPN license in good standing.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification.
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, or post-acute care preferred.
• Strong clinical and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Compassionate, dependable, and resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents according to physician orders and individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns promptly.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and the care team.
• Educate residents and families as appropriate.
• Follow infection control policies and procedures.
• Support QA and QAPI initiatives.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs.
• Maintain a safe, compassionate, resident-centered environment.
• Respond promptly to resident needs and emergencies.

Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with physician orders, individualized care plans, and state and federal regulations. Working alongside Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team, the LPN plays a vital role in promoting resident comfort, safety, and overall well-being.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing

• Current BLS/CPR Certification

• Skilled nursing, rehabilitation, long-term care, hospital, or post-acute care experience preferred
