Qualifications

- Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- Possesses an active CPR certification.
- Remains knowledgeable about state practice act and regulations governing practice.
- Completion of initial and annual clinical competencies to demonstrate aptitude as assigned by role.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care within the LPN scope of practice as defined by the state.
- Administer medications to offenders.
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to medical staff.
- Document actions in MAR and medical records.
- Cares for wounds with proper cleaning and dressing.
