Job summary

UR Medicine Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY is seeking an LPN to join our Gardens Ave Continuing Care Center part-time day shift. You’ll contribute to resident care, medication administration, and care planning within our supportive staffing model and on-site parking.

The role requires a valid NYS LPN license, 1 year in long-term or acute care, and ability to work weekends and holidays. Starting pay ranges from $27.25 to $35.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS LPN license.
• 1 year of Long Term Care or acute care preferred.
• Experience with guiding nursing through the regulatory survey process.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Able to work rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Maintains responsibility for nursing care in conjunction with the Nurse Manager.
• Administers medications to residents.
• Gives direct care to residents and performs treatments as indicated.
• Ensures physician orders are carried out and integrated into resident care plan.
• Documents information on residents' records according to policy and procedure.
• Directs nursing assistants in the care of residents.
• Instructs associates in the use of specific techniques.
• May be required to work as Charge Nurse.
