Job summary

St James Living Center in St. James, Missouri is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN provides nursing care, administers medications, and reinforces health care instructions to patients and families.

You will participate with the team in planning with other staff, assist with admission/transfer/discharge, monitor vitals, and maintain a safe, comfortable environment. LPN licensure is required; 1 year of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure required.
• 1 year of LPN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care to patients as assigned.
• Administers and records medications and treatments as assigned.
• Reinforces health care instructions to patients and families.
• Participates with the team in planning, implementing and evaluating nursing care and other patient activities.
• Assists in admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Observes and reports patients' vital signs and condition to the appropriate staff.
• Records observations on patient charts.
• Keeps environment safe and comfortable for patients.
• Assists with unit management or acts as charge of unit as assigned.
