Qualifications

• Current Montana LPN license required.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical setting preferred.
• RQI Provider (BLS) within 7 days of hire or transfer required.
• Knowledge of equipment, supplies and instruments used in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general nursing duties and specialty procedures as assigned.
• Conduct assessments within scope of practice using nursing process.
• Assist provider with examinations and procedures following standards.
• Prepare and administer medications and injections as ordered.
• Transcribe and implement provider orders accurately.
• Maintain infection control policies and clean/sterilize instruments.
• Prepare exam rooms and manage supplies.
• Collect and label specimens and forward to labs per protocol.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate admissions/testing as directed.
• Assist indigent patients with applications and distribute medications as directed.
• Provide patient education on diabetes, diet, and medication administration.
