Job Summary

To provide quality practical nursing care to all clinic patients under the direction of the physician. Collaborate with other health‑care professionals to provide patient care using approaches that recognize each other's expertise to meet the comprehensive needs of patients.

Position Details

Location: Express Care Clinic (Full‑time).

Education & Certification

Must be a graduate of an approved school of practical nursing and hold a current Mississippi license to practice as an LPN.

Experience

Requires at least one year’s experience as an LPN. Candidate must have general front‑office experience and be competent in phlebotomy techniques.

Language & Communication

English required. Multilingual capabilities enhance the ability to perform this job. Must be able to speak effectively and professionally to all staff, management, and all outside individuals at all levels from elementary to professional.

Mathematical Skills

Skill in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals without a calculator. Proficiency in units such as cup, pint, quart; inch, foot, yard; ounce and pound. Knowledge of the metric system units (length, area, volume, capacity, mass, and weight) and U.S. equivalents. Skill in computing ratios, rates, and percentages.

Reasoning & Judgment

Must be able to apply non‑judgmental reasoning when dealing with patients, visitors, and staff. Critical thinking and multitasking skills are a must. Must possess purposeful, self‑regulatory judgment resulting in interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference, and be able to explain the evidential, conceptual, methodological, criteriological, or contextual considerations that support that judgment.
