Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Clinical Educator to lead clinical orientation, courses, and competency sessions across our Georgia facilities. The role includes developing training materials, coordinating programs, and supporting staff and students with evidence-based clinical policies.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of physician practice operations teaching and 1+ year of healthcare training/preceptor experience, with an LPN license required and RN license preferred.

• 1+ year of relatable ambulatory healthcare experience
• Experience in adult learner education/teaching experiencer field
• Experience supervising staff
• Experience teaching in formal/informal settings

Responsibilities

• Actively instructs clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions.
• Develops and rolls out training materials including competency checklists for clinical skill and new/ongoing clinical courses.
• Coordinates training programs and ensures materials are available before, during, and after training.
• Supports development of students and clinical support staff through evidence-based policies.
• Hosts training sessions for students in person or virtually (e.g., Fast Track Medical Assistant and Clinical Ladder).
• Assists with onboarding of student externs and related documentation and rotations.
• Plans and implements staff education on new policies, procedures, equipment, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Collaborates with other clinical educators to design educational programs requiring innovative teaching.

Job Description:

Actively instructs clinical orientation, clinical courses, and annual competency sessions. Develop and roll out training materials including, but not limited to, competency checklists for clinical skill and new/ongoing clinical courses. Coordinate training programs and ensure proper training materials are available prior to, during, and after training The Clinical Educator supports the development of students and clinical support staff fostering knowledge and skill enhancement through the delivery of evidence based clinical policies. Host training session for students participating in clinical courses on sight and virtually including, but not limited to, Fast Track Medical Assistant and Clinical Ladder classes. Assist with onboarding of student externs, including, but not limited to, providing assistance and support to all students regarding the application process, supporting documents, orientation requirements; secures preceptor and ensures all documents and application are complete and approved prior to the student rotations. Participate in planning and implementing staff education to new policies/procedures, equipment, and performance improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with other clinical educators to design educational programs that require innovative teaching techniques. Perform Environment of Care Surveys, including but not limited to participating in site surveys at offices throughout the Region, ensure all offices are following best practices as relates to Environment of Care, supporting staff education opportunities to promote Environment of care initiative. Assesses educational needs for PHD or specific clinical units. Assists in the professional development of staff via assessment of needs with planning, implementation, and evaluation of educational programs. Provides individual instruction as necessary. Schedules and coordinates meetings, classes, and event sessions for new hire orientations and education events. Proctor certification exams. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Up to 50% travel may be required regionally with rare overnight stays state-wide. Act as a role model in service standards.
