Schedule: Full-Time

Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

Location: 2200 Fowler Grove Blvd, Winter Garden, FL; also floats to Innovation Tower practice twice per week

The role you’ll contribute:

The Clinical Assistant-LPN provides professional nursing care under the supervision of the attending physician. Responsibilities include enhancing patient satisfaction, ensuring schedule compliance, managing voicemail, adhering to policies and procedures, and reducing wait times. The role supports effective clinic operations and maintains communication with team members, referring providers, and patients.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Examines post-operative patients and performs wound checks for infections.
• Performs history and physicals for pre-operative patients.
• Assists surgeons at sporting events and provides field coverage for athletes.
• E-prescribes, writes (with physician signature), faxes, and phones prescriptions per practice protocols. Obtains pre-certification for medications.
• Handles pre-operative calls to ensure patient documentation is complete, discusses discharge plans, and answers questions. Conducts post-operative calls within 7 days of surgery, using clinical judgment to guide patient care.
• Previews charts pre-operatively, documents pertinent information, and manages post-op discharge instructions and communication with referring physicians.
• Discusses patient care and home equipment needs with homecare nurses and arranges necessary medical supplies.
