Job summary

Vanderbilt Health in Tennessee seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to partner with Advanced Practice Clinician, evaluating patient reasons for visits and delivering goal-focused, age-specific care under supervision.

The LPN will manage patient flow, perform diagnostic testing, maintain charts in the EHR, educate patients and families, and participate in quality improvement while upholding VIP standards and licensure regulations.

Qualifications

• LPN licensure in Tennessee is required.
• Graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: assist patients promptly, communicate delays, maintain professional behavior.
• Planning and Managing Care: collect data, prepare patients for exams, assist with procedures, and maintain charts in the EHR.
• Patient/Family Education: provide education materials and Nebulizer training as directed.
• Continuous Learning: participate in staff meetings and quality improvement activities.
• Communication and Collaboration: coordinate clinic flow and collaborate with the health care team.
• Lab Duties: assist with specimen handling, QC, and instrument maintenance.
• Regular and reliable attendance required.
• All other duties as assigned.
