Job summary

Twin Oaks Assisted Living in Williamsport, MD seeks a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our growing team and provide compassionate, individualized care to residents under their care plans.

As part of a dedicated nursing team, you will supervise CNAs, administer medications, monitor vitals, and support admissions, transfers, and discharges, while maintaining meticulous patient records and promoting a high standard of independence for residents.

Qualifications

• Active LPN licensure in the state of practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coordinate, and direct the work of nursing assistants (CNAs).
• Provide individualized nursing care to residents according to each resident's plan of care.
• Assist in the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments as ordered by the physician.
• Explains procedures and treatments ordered to gain patients' cooperation.
• Observe vital signs to detect deviations from normal and gauge progress of the patient.
• Maintains patients' medical records on nursing observations and actions taken.
• Records nursing needs of patient on care plan to assure continuity of care.
• Observes emotional stability of patients, prepares them for continuing care after discharge.
• Perform other duties as required to provide exceptional care to each resident.

What you'll do
