Job Overview

Provides nursing support to physicians and direct patient care in an inpatient setting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current unencumbered licensure with the WV Board of Practical Nursing or equivalent state board, or multi-state licensure via the eNLC.
• Certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire.
• West Virginia state criminal background check, and federal check if applicable.

Preferred Experience

• One year of clinical experience.

Core Duties

• Deliver direct patient care according to the care plan and under supervision, aiming to promote comfort and health recovery.
• Perform therapeutic procedures as assigned.
• Monitor and document patient status, reporting changes promptly.
• Assist with examinations and procedures.
• Participate in patient assessment and care planning.
• Educate patients and families, and document interventions.
• Administer medications safely and accurately.
• Seek supervision when implementing nursing techniques.

Physical and Work Environment

• Requires physical strength and stamina; involves lifting and moving patients and equipment over 40 lbs.
• Work hours include protracted, irregular shifts, with exposure to biohazards, chemicals, and working near deceased individuals.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work under stress, adapt to changing workloads, and communicate effectively.

Additional Details
