Job summary

Mercy Joplin is seeking an LPN to deliver patient care in the MedSurg Service Line, including a specialized Cardiac Surgery Unit. You will work under supervision or with RNs, coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality.

Candidates must have an LPN license in Missouri or be eligible, and obtain required certifications such as ACLS, PALS, PEARS, and BLS within designated timeframes. The role supports ongoing credentialing and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.
• LPN license in the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.
• Certifications may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under supervision.
• Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients.
• Coordinates patient care with other departments and maintains patient rights and confidentiality.
• Provides care in the MedSurg Service Line, including the Cardiac Surgery Unit and related teams.
• Earns credentials in ACLS and builds clinical skills for cardiac and vascular populations.
