Job summary

Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, PA, is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our 112-bed behavioral health facility. This full-time position provides professional nursing care on a designated unit, with a schedule from early morning to evening (6:30am–7:00pm), and rotates every other weekend and holiday.

Overtime and coverage of various shifts are possible. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program.
• One year prior experience in D&A and/or mental health nursing preferred but not required.
• Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care on a designated unit per Roxbury philosophy.
• Accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift and promotes practice under supervision.
• Monitors and documents patient condition and reports findings to the Charge Nurse/RN.
• Monitors Nursing and Clinical Care plans and participates in Treatment Team meetings.
• Provides supportive counseling and patient education.
• Facilitates medication administration in line with safe practices and patient education.
• Responds to crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.

Education
