Promises Behavioral Health in Dacula, GA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to support detox and medical care under the Medical Director’s supervision. You will help plan, deliver, and evaluate client care in a fast-paced behavioral health setting.

Requires at least 3 years of nursing experience and an active LPN license in Georgia, with CPR/First Aid certification. Two years in substance abuse/recovery is preferred; the role may involve 24-hour coverage and collaboration with physicians and

Qualifications

• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
• Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license issued by state of employment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Excellent customer care skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• At least 2 years' experience in substance abuse/recovery program preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification is required; if not, certification must be obtained within mandated time frame.

Responsabilités

• Meets with new clients and assists in completing medical and health assessments/questionnaires.
• Coordinates with attending physicians to ensure admission orders are addressed and services are provided.
• Completes treatment plan documentation including nursing assessments and medication administration.
• Directs patient care and reports changes in mental/physical condition and safety risks.
• Provides ongoing patient education on detox, recovery, medications and health issues.
• Reconciles client medication sheets and daily pharmacy orders; oversees medication destruction.
• Assists with QA program development and staff training for infection control, nursing and labs.
• Attends treatment planning conferences and professional staff meetings.
• Available for 24 hour coverage for consultation and emergencies.
