Job summary

Lakeview Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide skilled nursing services to clients with mental health and co-occurring conditions in Northwest Florida, under the direction of a RN or physician. The role emphasizes assessment, care planning, direct care, and safety management.

Responsibilities include maintaining a therapeutic environment, using CPI techniques when needed, and collaborating with the treatment team to meet each individual's needs.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Must have a valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Florida.
• Must be certified in CPR.
• Must be able to effectively perform client/patient behavior management techniques (CPI) with appropriate training.
• Must be able to provide individualized, integrated mental health and co-occurring services.
• Must be able to use a computer.
• Must be eligible to participate in Medicaid and related programs.
• Must pass state or federal background screenings and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing services to mental health, substance abuse, or developmentally disabled clients under RN or medical doctor supervision.
• Perform assessment and develop treatment plans, deliver direct services.
• Maintain a safe, therapeutic environment and manage client risk and safety.
• Utilize CPI techniques with appropriate training to manage client behavior.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to meet individual needs and support families.
