Job summary

Recovery Centers of America is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the clinical team on site. The LPN will support and implement evidence-based practices to advance patient recovery, assist in the nursing process with individuals and groups, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

The role emphasizes patient safety, accurate documentation, and adherence to policies while delivering compassionate, confidential, respectful service to patients

Qualifications

• Active State Licensed Practical Nurse license.
• One year experience in substance abuse treatment or behavioral health preferred.
• Knowledge of health care, detoxification, addiction and DSM criteria.
• Ability to read and interpret information; write clearly and edit for grammar.
• Strong communication skills; listens well and responds to questions.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assess the physiological and behavioral health status of the patient.
• Completes initial assessment and develops the plan of care.
• Communicates and documents client’s psychosocial status.
• Administers medications according to organization policy.
• Verifies the MAR for correct medication and administration times.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Maintains accurate records and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and laboratory results.
• Follows established policies and procedures for verification of narcotic counts.
• Collaborates with treatment team to determine appropriate treatment/discharge plan.
