Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse - Bedside to deliver direct bedside patient care in an acute or elderly care setting. You will prioritize patient care, document care events, and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care.

This role includes acting as Charge Nurse in the RN's absence, managing admissions and discharges at bedside, and staying current with medications and treatments to support continued care at home.

Qualifications

• Must hold LPN license in the applicable state.
• Continuing education and certifications must be up to date (e.g., CPR).
• Strong communication and teaching skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct bedside care and age-specific care in an Acute Nursing or Elderly Care setting.
• Prioritize patient care assignments and document appropriately.
• Serve as Charge Nurse in the absence of the RN within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to admit patients at bedside and discharge them.
• Maintain written records of patient care events (medications, treatments, procedures).
• Consistently communicate with multidisciplinary team to ensure holistic care.
